A Twitter-transcipt of INTEGRITY's European Tour-Start 2013 a.D.

Due to the large success, I once again let you re-live my transmission from a show... it was quite one, although not as good as before (I am speaking of Orr-era, not Melnick-ing).
I edited and reworked the tweets for a better experience. Read for yourself:

OPTIMIST...if you like your traditional Ruhrpott-Metal to be stomping and moshy - there you go! Like the (sometimes) German vocals!

- OPTIMIST... 3rd song, was about time Kevin took his shirt off. An ugly smell of sweat is in the air...but I still very much enjoy "Weltenbrand"

- Unfortunately, no "Imbiss" around, but some Beef Jerkys and Barbecue-flavored crisps help overcome both: waiting for and hunger

- Someone is up now...I honestly don't care, and rather keep talking about Bundesliga, even when a Schalke-supporter is asking about how Westermann is doing with . WHAT SHOULD I SAY MORE? Three words: I don't care. For both

- Okay, skipped that, another one and then finally is up.

- I just couldn't resist to hang out at the Merch area for nostalgic reasons.nothing to spectacular happening, but even that is familiar

- are about to start this European Inquisition in a few moments, we will see how that fits into the last encounters. Doubtful, because of the crowd, with (only) a few familiar faces and a couple of diehards - but I am willing to be surprised

- Thanks to Adrian Brachman for having a time-
Someone did a video
killing conversation about 90s HC, working the Blue Collar way, vinyl and social ambitions. I could not care less for TV-series, Street Punk and ADOLESCENTS-records that seem to be hot topics in other groups around
Wait...is black still the color of choice in 2010s merch, or are we having a comeback here? What definitely (has) changed is, that not Punk people (there aren't any) but HC dudes bring their dogs. I'd rather see some kids,if you are about to show-off your Cocooning-style. Was a definite highlight conversation: talking about Baby-Car seats and stuff to (an) OPTIMIST

- Orr-tunes...it's starting NOW ...see ya in abit - or the pit!

- took it of with "Vocal Test" and "Hollow",a cacophony of sound melted into the overheated room, and after some then-&-now it lasted until "Diehard" and "Systems" until the crowd went crazy. They definitely weren't for the more Japanese-styled stuff, but when shifted into the slower part with "Dawn" and a dragging "Those who fear", the heat was yet again forgotten. Being at my usual spot at the left speakers helped bathing in a stream of inflictions, until an "Abraxas Annihalation" served for a perfect ending. Could have lived without the encore - even if that was some serious smashers like "Sarin".Only one missed was a "Lucifer before.." but got an harmonica instead. If this happens to be yet again the only show of the year, this was rightly so. Thanks,

- After some watching of loading and talks about Belgium beer, I headed home in a not overwhelmed way like after last tour, but satisfied

INTEGRITY / ROT IN HELL, Cologne, MTC

Here is what happened on Twitter:

  • So...I am off. Get Ready for INTEGRITY & ROT IN HELL @ Cologne updates
  • Approaching...stoked for one of the rare, possibly the only show I might go to this year
  • The usual Cologne phenomenon at Hardcore shows: only a few familiar faces - and alot different
  • Okay...forced to ditch this. Bummer - no phone connection inside. Try to compose some instant thoughts on my blog to publish later
  • BLOODATTACK is on now...and I am off for a Lunch break.
  • Love Turkish Kebab houses getting ready for Karneval...and waiting for ROT IN HELL
  • Promised Media enriched content. Here we go: http://t.co/Mjg1isd1

Switching to Blog mode... Try to maintain the tweet-mode. Random thoughts published in instant:

  • Refreshing "old" crowd, not the usual hipster hardcore youth.
  • Waiting for ROT IN HELL to get on Stage - the HELMET background sound switched to something less meaningful and powerless
  • Dwid occupied in some Fan-Talk. You have to be FAN, you know
  • Crowd includes some other ex-involved Hardcore-dudes like myself. We had our 15 minutes of fame,ya'll!
  • Hans is pretty relaxed before the gig - while the guys are already tuning, he still just stands and stares across the room at Merch
  • Notice an unexpected and yet very welcomed twist in Hans' tone. Dirrty
  • The sound is a crystal clear mess of noise, that already resembles your soundboard recordings
  • Crowd reaction...what crowd reaction?
  • "this is a new song" - me like the familiar yet catchy metallic Thrash/Riff-changes
  • Just recognized: Hans might be rather having trouble with his voice - maybe because of all the smoke in the air
  • Obviously, people saved their energy for Integ...like myself. Decent participation - for Cologne almost enthusiastic.
  • "Judgment Day" got the ball rolling - crowd went with the flow from thereon.
  • Missed some of my favorite newer tunes, but "Lucifer..." satisfied some needs. All in all, good mixture of classics and "band-songs"
  • Some moments were graced by an enormous deep felt roaring of Dwid. Others just took it away with, dare I say, FUN!
  • To elaborate on that: it is pretty obvious that all of this is very relaxed and kinda "over it". There is nothing "BIG" to promote - other than a legacy of a band that is given it to their kind of people for more than 20 years. Be it only Dwid who still is, nobody feels out of place this time (like on "Closure"- or "To die for"-tours)
  • There is alot of "I don't care...I'm just here with you"-attitude about this show. And that's exactly how I feel
  • Personal favorite was a rockish-swinging version of "Lucifer...", followed by "Abraxas" and the ever-challenging (I always tend to forget the second verse) "Systems overload" - Disclaimer: the last song I ever did a stagedive to, back in Hamburg, back in the 1990s, backed up on "Spiegel TV"

Back to Twitter:
  • After a little chitchat with each Hans and Dwid, I got out of that and am ready to conduct more
  • Had my Blogger App filled with instant updates, which I am going to publish at home
  • Also did some video shoots... Picture quality is real good, but sound far from decent. See if I can brush that up for you
  • All in all, Cologne saw a ROT IN HELL set that lacked some, and a real amusing (in a good way) @INTEGRITY_HT performance.

Twitter Live Show Transmission - RISE & FALL, IRON AGE, AMEN RA, KINGDOM

This one is odd... it's something I planned to do more regularly afterwards: live tweeting from shows. But ever since then, I did not really visit more than a handful of gigs, and was busy either singing along (CRO-MAGS) or socializing (i.e. do not care too much for the bands). On the other hand, I missed a whole fucking lot (well, at least another handful) of shows and events due to me being at work.
I hope, I can continue doing these sometime, because it was alot of fun, and reading these tweets right now make me totally recall the sentiments and power of that night. More people should do something like this - if I ever get back in doing merch that would be a perfect thing to kill time and make it a time to remember!
So, hell yeah, it's tweets - don't expect too many details, but I hope you can catch some of the action:

DISCLAIMER: I reversed the timeline, of course

Only like 30+ people... Cozy nite
22 Nov. 09

Kingdom* on now... Black Sabbath-mosh-core... Good musicianship, vocals strong, but both lacking the convincing tidbit. Anyway, good band

Amen Ra... Really looking forward to this set... The smell of "weihrauch" fills the room... What is the english word for it?

Amen Ra - best thing Neurosis since "enemy of the sun"... They got all it needs, even the high pitched vocals don't disturb here

Amen Ra... I bought a shirt... The last time i did was years ago - and by Rise And Fall...the circle is vicious

Iron Age is up now... Resembling the late Mike Cheese since he is called Apocalypse and Nola-like in Eyehategod... Great stuff aussi!

Iron Age... More southern-breed Gehenna than your mom's crotch... Awesome

So now... Rise And Fall, finishing off a line-up including three of the best Fucking live bands

Rise And Fall... No hostages made... Taking the place by storm from the very minute...

Rise And Fall... It's amazing how much "bottom feeder" always channels all my rage and emotions

Rise And Fall... "in circles"- easily among the best songs to come out this year, to say the least

Rise And Fall... Leaving this place with nothing but pure energy...
Transmission ends here...
Thank you... Good night
